Fire Chief
Cutlerville and Dutton Fire Departments
Employment Opportunity

In coordination, Byron Township and Gaines Charter Township are seeking applicants for the position of Fire Chief for the Cutlerville and Dutton Fire Departments.  This is one position, which will be full time (40 Hrs. per week), with an annual salary range of $80,000-$90,000, based on qualifications and experience, plus  a generous benefit package.

This position requires excellent managerial, organization and communication skills to oversee these all-hazard organizations which deliver essential emergency and non-emergency services to the community.

The ideal candidate will have acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science, Public Administration (or closely related field). Additionally, possess the minimum of a State of MI EMT certification, State of MI Firefighter I & II certificate, State of MI Firefighters Training Council Hazmat 1st Responder Operations course certification, Fire Officer I, II & III certificates, and State of MI Firefighters Training Council Fire Instructor I certificate.
