The Township Engineer has a wide range of duties within the Township. The Engineer is responsible for performing a wide range of technical, engineering tasks related to the planning, design, construction and maintenance of a variety of public works projects. The Engineer provides oversight and coordination between the department Managers in the Planning/Zoning Department, Building Inspections Department, Water/Sewer Department, Maintenance Department, the Township's Consulting Engineering Firm and assigned Support Staff.

Our Engineer also has direct contact with several offices in Kent County, and works with them on a daily basis to help residents within Gaines Charter Township.
