The Township Clerk is responsible for maintaining the Township accounting system including payroll, the general fund checks and the all funds ledgers. This includes preparing financial reports for the Board of Trustees and overseeing annual audits.

The Clerk’s office is in charge of the three Township Cemeteries. This includes the sale of lots, communications with residents and funeral homes, keeping of records and oversight of the maintenance of the cemeteries.

The Clerk’s office is responsible for maintaining voter registration records and “running” all elections including finding and overseeing election workers, notifications, supplies, locations of polling locations as well as Absentee Ballot distribution and final election tallies.

The Clerk is a member of the Township Board and as such votes on all matters that come before the Board. The Clerk is the secretary of the Board and the official record-keeper of the Township.
